Area of right angled triangle is 54cm square. If the length of one side forming right angle in 12 cm find the length of other side. Also find the length of altitude on hypotenuse.

 <u><b><i >There you go!

Let ABC be the right angled triangle.

Given, Area of the triangle = 54 cm^2

Length of one of its side, BC = 12 cm

We know that, Area of a right angle triangle = 1/2 × b× h

= > 54 = 1/2 × AB × BC

=> 54 = 1/2 × AB × 12

=> AB = 9

Again, APPLYING PYTHAGORAS THEOREM :-

AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2
= 9^2 + 12^2
= 81 + 144
= 225

Hence, AC = 15 cm

 \bold {Conclusion:-} The length of the other side i. e. the Hypotenuse, AC = 15 cm. The length of the altitude, AB = 9 cm.

Using Half×base×height the perpendicular comes to be 9cm(Just by putting all the values in the formula). After that using Pythagoras theorem----

hypotenuse=15 cm and the altitude was found using Pythagoras theorem altitude=9cm
