∴ AB is 12cm and ar(∆ABC) is 54cm²

Now,

We know that area of right-angled triangle : 1/2 x b x h

where, base is 1st side and height is 2nd side

⇒ar(∆ABC) = 1/2 x b x h

⇒54 = 1/2 x 12 x h

⇒h = 54 x 1/12 x 2/1    

⇒h = 9cm

∴The length of other side is 9cm
