if ABCD is a square then diagonal AC = 12 cm
By Pythagorus Theorem, (AB×AB) + (BC×BC) =(AC×AC)
AS , AB = BC
Therefore,
2(AB×AB) = (AC×AC)
2(AB×AB)= (12×12)
2(AB×AB)=144
AB×AB= 72
AS AREA OF A SQUARE IS SQUARE OF ITS SIDES,
THEREFORE , WE HAVE THE ANSWER , AREA OF ABCD = 72sq. cm
