We know that diagonals of a square are equal, i.e., 2.4 m.

Also we know that area of a rhombus =1/2 × d1 ×d2

d1 d2 being diagonals.

But square is also a rhombus of a special kind.

There fore Area of square =1/2 × 2.4 × 2.4cm^2

=> ar square =2.88 cm^2
