Area of the ceiling of a room 4m high is 48 metre square. If the area of 4 walls of the room is 112 metre square , calculate the length and breadth of the room.​

ANSWER

Let Length=l,breath=b,height=h

Area of four walls = 2h(l+b) = 108m

h:l=2:5,h:b=4:5 (Given)

∴h:l:b=4:10:5

Let h=4x,l=10x,b=5x

Now, the area of four walls, 2×4x(15x)=108
