Correct Question :- Find the area of the shaded part, if the side of the square is 8 cm and the circumference of circle is 44 cm ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • circumference of the circle = 2πr .
  • Area of circle = πr² .
  • Area of square = (side)²

given that,

→ circumference of the circle = 44 cm.

→ 2 * (22/7) * r = 44

→ (44/7) * r = 44

→ r = 7 cm.

then,

→ Shaded Area = Area of circle - Area of square

→ Shaded Area = (πr²) - (side)²

→ Shaded Area = (22/7 * 7 * 7) - (8)²

→ Shaded Area = 154 - 64

→ Shaded Area = 90 cm². (Ans.)
