The longest rod's length is 12 m.

Given data :

Area of the floor = 48 m²

So, one side's length= ✓48 = ✓16 × ✓3 = 4✓3 m

Now,the longest possible length in a cube is it's diagonal.

So,the rod's length = Cube's diagonal length = ✓3 × 4✓3 = 4×3 = 12 m (answer)
