FORMULA USED

PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

Pythagoras theorem is used for all right angled triangle. As ABC is a right angled triangle. So the mathematical equation of Pythagoras theorem we have to use here is b =(h)^2-(p)^2. Here b stands for base of the triangle, h for hypotenuse and p for perpendicular.

ANSWER

b=(13)^2-(12)^2

b=169-144

b=25

b=5

Therefore, the base of the triangle is 5cm

Perimeter=13+12+5=30

semi perimeter=30/2=15

Area =15(15-13)(15-12)(15-5)

=15*2*3*5

=450

=21.21 cm^2 (approx.)

Therefore, the area is 21.21cm^2.
