Area of the inner rectangular field is 32 sq.m. it has a path of equal width around it and
the area of the rectangular path is 64 sq.m. Find the area of the outer rectangular field.​

Answer:

Let the figure is divided into two rectangles ABCD & PQRS

Area of ABCD=(24+4+4)×(18+4+4) m2

                           =(32×26) m2

                                           [∵ Area of rectangle =l×b]

                            =832 m2

Area of PQRS=(24×18)m2

                         =432 m2

Area of path=Area of ABCD - Area of PQRS

                   =(832−432) m2

                   =400 m2
