 \mathsf{\huge{Question}}

Find area of the polygon.

 \mathsf{\huge{Answer}}

First of all we will find the area of the triangle AED.

Given that,

 h_{1} = 8cm

ED = 6cm

BC = 12cm

 h_{2} = 13 cm

 \bold{By\:using\:the\:following\:formula} : -

 \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height

 \frac{1}{2} \times 6cm \times 8cm

=  24 cm^2

 \bold{So,\:the\:area\:of\:triangle\:AED\:is\:24\:cm^2}

Now, we have to find the area of the trapezium EDBC.

By using the following formula,

 \frac{1}{2} \times (sum of || sides) \times height

=  \frac{1}{2} \times (ED + BC) \times 13cm

=  \frac{1}{2} \times (6cm+12cm) \times 13cm

=  45cm^2

 \bold{So,\:the\:area\:of\:trapezium\:EDBC\:is\:24cm^2}

Now, for the total area of the polygon, we have to add the area of both trapezium and triangle.

Total area = area of trapezium + area of triangle.

Total area =  45cm^2 + 24cm^2

Total area =  69cm^2

 \bold{Therefore,\:the\:total\:area\:of\:the\:polygon\:is\:69cm^2}
