Step-by-step explanation:

A wire of length 22 cm is bent in the shape of a circle

so perimeter of the circle us 22 cm

if r cm is the radius of the circle then

2πr=22

=> πr=22/2=11

=> r=11/π=11×7/22=7/2

radius of the circle=7/2 cm

area of the circle =πr^2 sq cm

=22×7×7/7×2×2 sq cm

=77/2 sq cm

If the wire is rebent in the form of a square then perimeter of the square is 22 cm

then side of the square is 22/4 cm=11/2 cm

so,area of the square is 11×11/2×2 sq cm

=121/4 sq cm

area of the circle is 77/2 sq cm=154/4 sq cm

are a of the square is 121/4 sq cm

so,area of the circle is more than the area of the square
