let ABCD be the rhombus.

GIVEN :

ar( rhombus ABCD ). = 50cm2
AC = 15cm.

REQUIRED TO FIND : length of BD

SOLUTION :

ar ( rhombus ABCD) = AC × BD /2
50 = 15 /2. × BD
100 = 15BD
BD = 100/15
BD = 20/ 3 cm

RESULT :
The length of other diagonal is 20/3 cm

Ashwin1754: 100/15 can be written as 20/3 as i did

Given - Area, diagonal

Find - Other diagonal

Solution - Length of other diagonal is 6.6 cm.

Area of rhombus = 1/2*diagonal1*diagonal2

50 = 1/2*15*diagonal2

Diagonal2 = 50*2/15

Diagonal2 = 100/15

Diagonal2 = 6.6

Length of other diagonal is 6.6 cm.
