Area of shaded region

SOLUTION:

$Area \: of \: shaded \: region \: \\ = Area \: of \: rectangle \: -Area \: of \: semicircle$

Area of rectangle= length×breadth

$Area \: is \: rectangle = 7 \times 10$

= length × breadth

=

Area of semicircle=1/2(πr²)

r=7 units

Therefore, 1/2r = 3.5 units

$Area \: of \: semicircle = \frac{22 \times 3.5 \times 3.5}{7 \times 2}$

$= 19.25$

Area of shaded region= 70-(19.25)

= 50.75 unit²
