Answer :- 12 sq units .

Given :- A(2,0),B(6.0),C(4,6).

To Find :- Area of the triangle formed by joining the points.

Solution :-

AB = √ (6-2)^2 +(0-0)^2. = √16 = 4.

AC = √ (4-2)^2 + (6-0)^2. = √40 = 2√10.

BC = √(4-6)^2 +(6-0)^2 = √40 = 2√10.

Now ,

➜S = (4+2√10 + 2√10)/2 = 2+2√10.

Area of triangle by herons formula :-

= √(2+2√10)(2√10-2)(2)(2)

= √4(40-4)

= √4×36

= 2×6

= 12 sq units .
