height of triangle = 4 cm
Base = 12 cm
Area of quadrilateral = [ 1/2 × h × sum of its parallel siDe] + (1/2 × h × b)
[1/2 × 2 × ( 8 + 12)] + ( 1/2 × 4 × 12)
20 + 24
44 cm²
Therefore, the area of the quadrilateral is 44cm²
