Correct Question:-

Area of trapezium ABCD is 24cm² with AB Il CD. If AB is 7 cm and CD is 5 cm. Find the distance between two parallel sides.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Given:-

  • Area of Trapezium ABCD = 24cm

  • AB = 7cm

  • CD = 5cm

To Find:-

  • Distance between the two parallel sides.

Formula Used:-

  • \bf Area\:of\: Trapezium={\boxed{\bf{\dfrac{1}{2}[P_1+P_2]\times h}}}

Here,

  • \bf P_1 = First parallel Side

  • \bf P_2 = Second parallel Side

  • h = Height

Solution:-

\bf :\implies\:Area=\dfrac{1}{2}[P_1+P_2]\times h

Here,

  • Area = 24cm²

  • \bf P_1=7cm

  • \bf P_2=5cm

Putting values,

\sf :\implies\:24=\dfrac{1}{2}[7+5]\times h

\sf :\implies\:24=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 12\times h

\sf :\implies\:6h=24

\sf :\implies\:h=\dfrac{24}{6}

\bf :\implies\:h=4\:cm

Hence, The distance between two parallel sides of the Trapezium is 4cm.
