Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezium=½×sum of parallel side×base

210=½×(x+8+x) ×5

2x+8=42

2x=34

X=17cm

So the parallel sides are 17 cm and 17+8=25 cm

SOLUTION:-

We have,

•Area of trapezium= 210cm².

•Height= 5cm

•Let one parallel side be x.

•The other parallel side is (x+8).

To find:

The parallel side of the trapezium.

Solution:

Trapezium:Trapezium can be defined as a quadrilateral with only one pair of opposite sides parallel.

We know, formula of area of Trapezium is;

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times (Sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times Height

So,

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times [x + (x + 8)] \times 5 = 210 \\    \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times 2x + 8 \times 5 = 210 \\  \\  =  > 2x + 8 =  \frac{210 \times 2}{5}  \\  \\  =  > 2x + 8 = 42 \times 2 \\  \\  =  > 2x + 8 = 84 \\  \\  =  > 2x = 84 - 8 \\  \\  =  > 2x = 76 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{76}{2}  \\  \\  =  > x = 38

Therefore,

The parallel sides are, (x) & (x+8)

=) 38 &

=) 38+8= 46

Thus,

The parallel sides of the Trapezium is 38 & 46.

Hope it helps ☺️
