We Know That,
Area Of Triangle = 1/2×b×h ___ [ b = Base ; h = Height]
So, Area of triangle formed by joining midpoints is = 1/2×(b/2)×(h/2) = 1/2×{(b×h)/4}
Hence, The Ratio of them = [1/2×(b×h)] : [1/2×{(b×h)/4}]
= (b×h) : (b×h)/4
= 1 : 1/4
= 4 : 1
