\huge\mathbb{ANSWER:}

Area of the triangle is:

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times perpendicular \:  height

OR

 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - a)}

Lets get the example:

[DIAGRAM ON THE ATTACHMENT]

Height : 22 c.m.

Base : 16 c.m.

So,

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 16 \times 22 \:  {cm}^{2}

EQUALS,

8 \times 22 {cm}^{2}

EQUALS,

170 \:  {cm}^{2}

THANKS.

NOTE: cm x cm equals,
