Yes, definitely, they have been performing a very useful chore, which everyone does at least in their homes.
The present Swachh Abhiyan started by our Prime minister stresses on the significance of cleanliness, very much on the lines of what rag pickers do.
Imagine if we all start doing what these rag pickers do only in the vicinity where we live, it could lead to a very clean India in times to come.
