Area : Two dimensions :: Volume : Three dimensions

With an examples:

  • We take the geometric figure rectangle. It has two dimensions: length and width.

  • We take another geometric figure cuboid. It has three dimensions: length, width and height.

When we are putting them into ratio format, we take area with two dimensions and volume with three dimensions.
