Areas of two similar triangles are 144cm2 and 81cm2 if one side of the first triangle is 6cm then find the corresponding side of the second triangle.

let the two similar triangle be ∆ ABC~∆ PQR

A(∆ABC)/A(∆PQR)=AB²/PQ²-----[THEOREM OF AREA OF SIMILAR TRIANGLE]

144/81=6²/PQ²

12²/9²=6²/PQ²---------TAKING SQUARE ROOT.

THEREFORE, 12/9=6/PQ

HERE 12 AND 6 CAN CUT BECAUSE IT IS ON SE SIDE.

HENCE, IT WILL BE 9/2=4.5
