Answer:
"Two states" that receive "more than 200 cm" of rainfall in India is "Meghalaya and Assam". A "rain gauge" with a "sharp brass or steel rim" having a diameter of 5 inches, is used to measure the rainfall. The gauge is placed 30 cm above the ground level. There is a funnel on a narrow neck funnel that collects the rain in a removable can. This gauge is placed in an open space where there is no overhanging portion from which the rain water may seep into the gauge. The measurement is made by emptying the gauge in a graduated glass rain measure.
