Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: She is decorating the Christmas tree. (Active)

The Christmas tree is being decorated by her. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed in to passive mode.

Aren't you felling down trees unnecessarily? (Active)
