Argon is an inactive gas
It has 8 electrons in the outer most shell or valence shell , this gas has become neutral by acheving the octet Condition , so the attractive force of proton( contained in nucleus ) can't be seen on the electron or the force is negligible therefore it has a large size
Hope my answer helps u
