Even though there are good features of local government like.....It has helped to deepen democracy in India and has made women's representative raise their voices in the democracy .....There are certain difficulties ....they are:
1.while elections are held regularly and enthusiastically , gram sabhas are not held regularly.
2.Most state governments have not transferred significant powers to the local government. Nor they have given adequate resources.

C. Seats are reserved in the elected bodies and executive heads of the institution for weaker sections.
D. This has increased the decision making participations.
E. It solves the problems of rural peoples
DISADVANTAGES-:
A. Elections are held regularly gram sabhas are not held regularly.
B. Local govt lack adequated resources that make their work difficult.
C. It also does not aware the people about the scheme that started for their welfare
D. Sometime it take advantages for themselves by using such schemes.
