This depends on standpoints. Nevertheless, I think they deserve the money, not the attention they always have( "daily mail spotlight"). Fame is something different. Your question is not asking for fame, rather it is asking for the spotlight. I think they do deserve the money, given they've worked for it. But I don't think they deserve the limelight that is always around them.
I can guarantee you that 15-20 girls have fainted after listening to the news stating Salman Khan has been bitten by a Snake. This is very dodgy, isn't it? They are just entertainers, aren't they? What is the point of praying for someone that is bound to entertain you? If any police officer or an army officer dies, what do you think, do they get the same attention? The answer is no. What do we say when an army man or a policeman dies? They perished doing their jobs. This dodgy system is what I am trying to bring your attention to. That's all. Fame is not bad. This mad attention very much is.
So yeah, that is it. I think they deserve the money, but not the daily mail spotlight they always have.
