Arif,the laundryman,had to wash 12 white and 6 black shirts, and 5 white and 3 trousers. By evening, he had washed 9 white and 4 black shirts, and 2white and 2 black trousers. how many clothes of each type remain to be washed?

he had to wash 12-9=3 white shirts and 6-4=2 black shirts ,5-2=3 white and 3-2=1 black trousers.
