Hence,
Hypotenuse, AC = 13 cm. AB = 12 cm, BC = 5 cm.
Given that,
∆ABC is revolved about the side with 12 cm that is, AB.
Thus, Cone is formed, as a result.
Let radius = r = 5 cm and height= h = 12 cm.
Volume of solid formed = Volume of cone
= 1/3 πr²h
= 1/3 × π × 5 ×5 × 12
= 100π
[We know that, π = 3.14]
= 100 × 3.14
= 314 cm. [ Approx. ]
Hence, The volume of the solid so obtained is 100π cm or 314 cm.
