arihant builds a room measuring roof 22m and 20m. he also builds a cyylindrical tank having diameter of base 2m and height 3.5m adjoining the room to collect the rain water of roof for harvesting (i)if the tank is just filled with rain water find the rainfall in cm? (ii)what values are depicated in Arihant's plan

vol of rainwater on roof = vol of tank

lbh =πr^2h

22*20*h= 22/7*1*1*3.5

h= 22*0.5/22*20

h=0.025m =2.5cm
2) it shows the concern of arihant for problem of water depletion and also management of natural resources

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the roof = l = 22 m

Breadth of the roof = b = 20 m

Let the height of water on the roof = h m

So,

Volume of water falling on the roof = l × b × h = 22 × 20 × h = 440 h m3

Also given cylindrical tank having diameter of base 2 m and height 3.5m , So radius of cylindrical tank = 1 m

We know volume of cylinder = π r2 h

So,

Volume of water in cylindrical tank = 227×12 × 3.5 = 222×1 = 11 m3

i ) If the tank is just filled with rain water , So

Volume of water falling on the roof = Volume of water in cylindrical tank

440 h = 11

40 h = 1

h = 0.025 m

We know 1 m = 100 cm , So

h = 2.5 cm

Therefore,

Rainfall = 2.5 cm on the roof
