Answer:

let

sum of the observations is x for 8 numbers

total observations = 9

mean=sum of observations/no.of observations

mean =32

32=x+72/9

32×9=x+72

288=x+72

x=288-72

x=216

sum of 8 observations =216

actual mean= 216+27/9

=243/9

=27

therefore actual mean is 27

Answer:

hey!!

Step-by-step explanation:

mean=sum of observations/ total observations

38=sum/9

38×9=sum

342=sum

If a number is mistakenly written as 72 then 45 should be added to the sum

sum=342

actual sum should be :

342+45

=387

mean=sum/total observations

=387/9

= 43
