Hey there,

Here's the answer to your question:

Area needed to be painted = 4 walls + ceiling = Lateral Surface Area (LSA) of the room + Area of 1 ceiling

LSA of the room = 2(lh + bh)

We are given,

length (l) = 5m

breadth (b) = 4m

height (h) = 3m

Therefore, substituting the values,

LSA = 2((5)(3) + (4)(3))

= 2(15 + 12)

= 2(27)

LSA of the room = 54 sq. m

Area of ceiling = lb

= 5(4)

Area of ceiling = 20 sq. m

Adding up all the areas, we get,

Area to be painted = 54 + 20 = 74 sq. cm

Rate of painting = Rs 7.50/m^2

Therefore, total cost of painting = 74 * 7.50 = Rs 555.

The value reflected in this problem is the virtue of helping and caring for others.
