arjun has some 1 rupee coins and some 2 rupee coins in his piggy bank . The number of 1 rupee coins is thrice that of 2 rupee coins. If the total value of these coins is ₹50, find the number of coins of each denomination​

value of coins of 2 = x = 2 multiply x = 2x

value of coins of 1 = 3x = 3x multiply 1 = 3x

value of total coins = ₹50

Ac. to que. —

2x + 3x = 50

5x = 50

x = 50/5

x = 10

no of coins of 2 = x = 10

no of coins of 1 = 3x = 3 x 10 = 30
