Let the age of Arjun be x and age of Shriya be y

Given:

x = 2y ----------------- (1)

also given, 5 years ago

x - 5 = 3 (y - 5)

x - 5 = 3y - 15

3y - x = 10 ----------------- (2)

Substitute the valur of x from equation 1 and equation 2

3y - 2y = 10

y = 10

$\therefore{}$ x = 2y = 2×10 = 20 years

$\therefore{}$ The age of Arjun is 20 years and age of Shriya is 10 years.
