Hi friend!

Shriya's age = x
Arjun's age= 2x

5 yrs ago,
Shriya=x-5
Arjun = 2x-5

It was three times of Shriya's age.
2x - 5 = 3(x - 5)
2x - 5 = 3x - 15
-5 + 15 = 3x - 2x
10 = x

Shriya's present age = 10 years
Arjun's present age = 2x = 2 * 10 = 20 years.

Hope that helped you, my friend.
And hope you found my answer useful .

Let the present age of Shriya be x and Arjun be 2x.
Five years ago,
Shriya's age was (x-5)
Arjun's age was (2x-5)
A.q.
2x-5=3(x-5)
2x-5=3x-15
3x-2x=15-5
x=10 (Shriya's age)
2x=20 (Arjun's age).
Here is your answer.
