Arjun went to the gym for the workout. After coming from the gym he felt extremely hungry. What is the

reason of feeling hungry immediately after the physical activity?​

If your glycogen stores are really low, this can translate into that I-need-to-eat-something-ASAP feeling. Another possible explanation for post-exercise hunger pangs is dehydration.

During the workout, Arjun consumed all the ATP (Energy) that were readily available in his body. But still he continued his work out. So his body started the oxidation of food (respiration), primarily of carbohydrates to produce more energy to meet his current demands.

But after all of his carbohydrates were consumed, his body started to metabolise Ketone bodies (fats). So after he finished his work out, all his food was utilized. So he felt hungry.
