Around a square pool , there a footpath of width 2m. If the area of the footpath is 5/4 times that of the pool, find the area of the pool.

ACCORDING TO ME

area of the square = side × side

width = 2m ( in square all 4 sides are equal)

so, 2m × 2m =4m^2

therefore, area of square = 4^2

2×5/4 ( 2and 4 will be cancelled)

we get 5/2m^2 or 2.5m^2
