Condensation of water vapour takes place when the temperature is low or in the presence of cool temperature and of course a surface is required for the water vapour to condense on.

In the air, water vapour condenses around any surface present... such as leaves of trees etc. And when the water vapour reaches high altitudes then due to low temperature the vapour condenses around small particles present in air.

Hope this helps you friend...

CONDITIONS NECESSARY FOR CONDENSATION

  1. rising air
  2. condensation nuclei
  3. cool surfaces
  4. falling temperatures
  • rising air -the ground is hot due terrestrial radiation. the air near the surface of the earth gets heated up hence it rises up. evaporating water in form of vapor rises with it,
  • as the warm air mixed with water vapor rises it loses heat untill a point whee it cools and condenses into liquid again
  • cool surface - as the warm air that is saturated with water rises, it comes into contact with the cool surface hence it loses its energy and turns into liquid than then falls back to the ground as rain water
  • falling temperature - at night as the suns sets, the ground loses its energy hence the water droplets in the air cools below the dew pint hence falls to the ground as rain water
