Answer:

The descending order is 16/7, 3/4, 5/7, 3/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ; To arrange ⅜, ¾, 5/7 and 16/7 in descending order

Solution : Let us make given fractions with equal denominator

i.e. taking LCM of 4,7, & 8 is 56

Writing the equivalent fractions of the given, we get

∴ 3/8 = 3x7/8x7 = 21/56

  3/4 = 3 x14/4x14 = 42/56

  5/7 = 5x8/7x8 = 40/56

  16/7 = 16x8/7x8 = 128/56

The descending order is 128/56,42/56,40/56,21/56

                                       = 16/7, 3/4, 5/7, 3/8
