Concept:

Fraction is mathematical operation or statement which shows comparison between two or more mathematical quantities or numbers.

If a fraction is given by (x/y) then x will said to be the Numerator and y will said to be the Denominator of the fraction.

Given:

15.09, 15.90, 15.009, 15.909 are the given numbers.

Find:

We have to arrange the numbers least to greatest in decimal.

Solution:

We have to arrange the numbers from least to greatest i.e. in the ascending order.

Converting the decimal numbers into fraction we get,

15.09 = 15090/1000

15.90 = 15900/1000

15.009 = 15009/1000

15.909 = 15909/1000

Since the denominators are same for all then who has greatest numerator that will be greatest, similarly we can find the least.

Since 15009 < 15090 < 15900 < 15909

So, 15009/1000 < 15090/1000 < 15900/1000 < 15909/1000

Therefore, 15.009 < 15.09 < 15.90 < 15.909

Arranging the given numbers from least to greatest in order we get,

15.009, 15.09, 15.90, 15.909
