More is the value of (n+l) more will be the energy .

In 3d value of n+l is 3+2=5

In 4s value of n+l is 4+0=4

similarly for 3p,3s and 2p have values 4,3 and 3 respectively.

For cases in which the value of n+l is same then the orbital having greater value of n has more energy like 3s and 2p has same value of n+1 but 3s has more energy due to greater value of n being 3.
