To arrange :  following numbers in the descending order .  

Given data : 7.3 , 8.73 ,73.03 , 7.33 , 8.073

Solution :

  • To arrange numbers in descending order is to write number from bigger to small .
  • Therefore , if we have to arrange rational numbers in the descending order we need to equalize denominators of all the rational numbers by taking LCM .  
  • Then ,multiplying numerators by same numbers as multiplied by denominator to make LCM .
  • But here, numbers are in decimal form therefore we write directly in descending order .
  • Therefore, we get ,

       Descending order :   73.03 > 8.73 > 8.073 > 7.33 > 7.3
