To Find :- Arrange the following in ascending and descending order i) 123.45, 123.54, 125.43, 125.34, 125.3 .

Concept used :-

• Ascending order = Writing given numbers from smallest to largest .
• Descending order = Writing given numbers from largest to smallest .

Solution :-

given decimal numbers are :- 123.45, 123.54, 125.43, 125.34, 125.3 .

As we can see that, Unit place digit of 125 is greater than unit place of 123 .

So, all decimal numbers with 5 as unit place are greater than decimal numbers with unit digit as 3 .

Ascending order :-

Comparing 123.45 and 123.54

→ 123.45 = Tenths place digit 4

→ 123.54 = Tenths place digit 5

since tenth place digit 123.45 is smaller then,

→ 123.45 < 123.54

now, comparing 125.43, 125.34 and 125.3

→ 125.30 = Tenths place digit is same , So, checking Hundredths place digit which is 0 .

→ 125.34 = Hundredths place digit 4 .

since 0 < 4 .
