Given:

30.08;8.03;300.8;8.003

To find:

Ascending order

Solution:

There are 4 numbers provided. 30.08, 8.03, 300.8 and 8.003. To arrange in ascending order means to arrange the numbers from the smallest to the largest. 300.8 is the largest out of all four numbers. Hence, it will be in the last. 30.08 is the second largest. So, it comes just before 300.8.

We can clearly see that 8 is the smallest. But there are two numbers with decimals starting with 8: 8.03 and 8.003.

Multiply 8.03 with 100 to remove the decimal point and we will get 803.

Multiply 8.003 with 100 to remove the decimal point and we will get 800.3

Compare 803 and 800.3.

800.3 is smaller than 803. And hence, 8.003 is smaller than 8.03

Thus the ascending order will be : 8.003 < 8.03 < 30.08 < 300.8

Ascending order is given by: 8.003 < 8.03 < 30.08 < 300.8
