We have to arrange the following ions in order of increasing ionic radii :

Al³⁺ , Se²¯ , K⁺, Br¯

Answer : Al³⁺ < K⁺ < Br¯ < Se²¯

explanation : K , Br and Se are the elements of same groups. we now from left to right size of atoms decrease.

here we have groups of species (cations and anions)

Se²¯ and Br¯ nearly equal in size but if you talking about accurate then Se²¯ is larger than Br¯. but size of K⁺ is smaller than both Se²¯ and Br¯ but larger than Al³⁺. you know as well, Al³⁺ lost three electrons of its outermost shell while potassium lost only one electron so the size of Al³⁺ is considerably smaller than K⁺.

Therefore the arrangement of size in increasing order is ...

Al³⁺ < K⁺ < Br¯ < Se²¯
