Given solid liquids and gases. We need to arrange these three on the criteria given
a)effect of pressure-increasing order:
solid<liquid<gases.
b)Empty spaces in between particles --- decreasing order
Solids have least moelcular spaces , so
Gases>liquids >solids
c)Tendencly to flow--- Decreasing order
Only Liquids and gases will flow as they are fluids:hence
gases>liquid >solids
d) Thermal expansion : Increasing order
Gases>Liquid>Solids
Reason: As we heat, the molecules gain K.E and move faster hence gases expand faster than solids and liquids.
