 Given \:rational \:numbers \: \frac{3}{5} , \frac{4}{7} ,\frac{-4}{9} ,\frac{-8}{3}

 i) Take \: \frac{-4}{9} ,\frac{-8}{3}

 LCM \:of \: 9, 3 \: is \: 9

 \frac{-4}{9} \: --(1)

 \frac{-8}{3} = \frac{ -8 \times 3}{3 \times 3 } = \frac{-24}{9} \: --(2)

/* From (1) and (2)*/

 \frac{-24}{9} \lt  \frac{-4}{9}

 \blue { \frac{-8}{3} \lt \frac{-4}{9} }

 ii) Take \: \frac{3}{5} ,\frac{4}{7}

 LCM \: of \: 5 \: and \: 7 = 35

 \frac{3}{5} = \frac{3\times 7}{5\times 7} = \frac{21}{35} \: --(3)

 \frac{4}{7} = \frac{4\times 5}{7\times 5} = \frac{20}{35} \: --(4)

/* From (3) and (4) */

\frac{20}{35} \lt  \frac{21}{35}

 \blue { \frac{4}{7} \lt \frac{3}{5} }

Therefore.,
