Arrange the fundamental forces in descending order according to relative strength?
Answers
Obviously there are four fundamental forces ; weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force , electromagnetic force and gravitational force
strong force or strong nuclear force is the strongest force among all of them. This is the force which holds nucleus together.
2nd strongest force is not other than electromagnetic force. according to Maxwell, when two moving charge are seperated a specific distance, then each of them experienced electric and magnetic force. electric force is given by KqQ/r² while magnetic force is given by, qv × B.
our 3rd ranking in strongest force is weak nuclear force. It can be observed in radioactive decay (beta - decay). where, neutrino interaction induces beta -decay.
it was first observed by famous scientist Ernest Rutherford.
in 4th rank, gravitational force is appear. it is weakest force among all of them. as you know, it was discovered by The father of physics sir Issac Newton. gravitational force between two body of mass m and M is given by, GMm/r², where r is seperation between them.
now, arranging force in descending order, strong nuclear force > electromagnetic force > weak nuclear force > gravitational force.
