Arrange zno, cdo and hgo in increasing order of their thermal stability.

HgO < CdO < ZnO

● Explaination-
- All of these 3 form oxides by reaction with oxygen.
- More is the electropositive character more is the thermal stability.
- As zinc is more electropositive than cadmium and mercury, therefore its oxide is thermally more stable on other two.
- Therefore, order of thermal stability is HgO < CdO < ZnO .
