The Mallas means "wrestlers" in Sanskrit. The first of the Malla kings came to power in Kathmandu Valley in 1200 CE. The Malla period was a golden period that overed after 600 years, so it was fighting to hit somebody ,over the valuable trade routes to Tibet.
